What’s involved in a Spoon Carving Course?
The spoon carving course will give you the perfect introduction to carving. You will learn how to use an axe, and a variety of knives safely and effectively. We will start the day with a log and end the day with a spoon that you will be able to use in your kitchen forever. Hopefully, it will be the first of many. As well as carving technique we will discuss wood choice and sharpening.
We will supply you with everything you need for a day of carving. This includes top quality tools and all the wood you will need. A hearty homemade vegetarian lunch, tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.
There is one off special spoon carving fundraiser on Sat 20th June (all proceeds going towards the Coppicewood College building fund) with David in the Forest Garden at Moylegrove, participants will also get the royal tour of the garden with owner Bruce Slark, and catering for the whole day provided by Coppicewood’s legendary chef Gill Davies. Suggested cost is £100 but you may want to give more! Covered workshop in case of rain.
