An introduction to Charcoal Making and Hand Tool Sharpening with one of our tutors – Claire Turner.

Learn how to make charcoal for biochar or barbeque in a simple, easy and low-cost manner. Learn about the whole process from start to finish in one day.
As the charcoal burns, we can talk about sharpening hand tools. You will learn how to successfully look after all your tools from secateurs, shears, knives, axes, billhooks, and more. We will show you how to use a diamond stone, oil stone, cigar stone, canoe stone and where suitable a strop.
